Lorraine Did It!
Popular personality at the salon Lorraine has completed a campaign in support of courageous teenagers supported by Teens Unite Fighting Cancer.
Enthusiastically Lorraine cycled for 7 days across Vietnam to Cambodia, a total of 300 miles, approximately the distance from Hertfordshire to Scotland. As part of a 12 person group when all donations are confirmed will have raised over £30000 for the St Albans based charity.
The entire trip took 13 days, and included stopping en route to overcome demanding conditions such as humidity and also to take in some local delicacies.
Teens Unite aims to help young people build on their self esteem, self-confidence and reduce feelings of isolation by involving the group on days out, football matches and motivational workshops. Teens Unite have just opened their first respite care centre for young people aged 13 – 24 in the UK.
When asked about her motivation behind the challenge Lorraine said ‘Teens Unite is close to my heart and our salon has donated each year we’ve been open. When I was asked to take the challenge, I accepted it immediately’.
